Do you remember what you were up to 10 years ago? For many of us, it is difficult enough to remember what we had for tea the night before, let alone what we were doing a decade ago… However, in 2005 the face of business communications was set to change for the better with the arrival of Pebbletree Ltd.
The year 2005 was one of euphoric highs and sadly some catastrophic lows… Millions mourned around the world throughout the year as Pope John Paul II passed away, July saw Britain shook to its core by the London Bombings, and Hurricane Katrina, the most devastating storm in modern American history, made landfall in August.
However, 2005 also brought great happiness to the world; London won the right to stage the 2012 Olympic Games, Christopher Nolan began his Gotham journey with the release of Batman Begins, Disneyland celebrated its 50th birthday, whilst Peter Kay teamed up with Tony Christie to bring us ‘(Is This The Way To) Amarillo!’
Meanwhile, in the tech world, two great things were happening… Over in the States, Chad Hurley, Steve Chen, and Jawed Karim couldn’t imagine the success they were set to experience, as they launched video-sharing website, YouTube in February. Back in Blighty, the wheels were well in motion on a project that would revolutionise UK business telecoms… That project resulted in the arrival of Pebbletree Ltd to the market!
Across the next 9 months we are going to celebrate our 10-year anniversary by looking back at how the birth of Pebbletree helped shape the way small to medium sized businesses across the UK looked at their telecommunications, and how the brands developed by Pebbletree continue to help companies save money, increase efficiency, and work smarter.
