Here at Pebbletree we love the fact that many of our new customers come to us, most likely on the back of hearing good things about our services through a friend or someone else.
However, recently we have also been doing our bit to bring our services to you, taking our brands on the road by touring up and down the UK to showcase how we are empowering businesses across the country to work more flexibly, efficiently and professionally.
Over the course of March, April and May, some of the Pebbletree team put on their suits and branded t-shirts, filled their cars with equipment and set off, visiting various B2B exhibitions across a number of cities to spread our word and aim to make more businesses aware of the benefits we can bring them.
But the work started long before the actual dates we were scheduled to attend each event. As with every other business at these kind of events, we wanted to make sure we could present our company and brands as professional and as best as we could.
So on top of the quirky banners and flyers we designed to place on and around our stand, we wanted to ensure there was something extra that would make us stand out and appeal to visitors walking past.
We decided a competition would be a good idea, because who doesn’t like winning free things? The competition consisted of simply dropping your business card in our fabulous top hat, to be in with a chance of winning a state of the art VoIP phone, a free phone number and free call credit with our Soho66 brand.
We knew the competition would intrigue visitors, and in hindsight it certainly proved to be a success, but we still felt there was something else we could do to attract people to our stand – and what better way to do that than give away free chocolates?
We had the chocolates custom made to display our company branding, which we can safely say impressed a lot of guests – at least before they hurriedly tore the wrapper off to make it disappear.
Just like our competition, the chocolates – which were Belgian chocolate in case you’re wondering – proved to be a big hit. Prior to attending the events we even had to hide them in the office, due to one or two employees expressing how keen they were to “test” the chocolates out.
We visited four expos in total, each covering completely different regions which allowed our team to sample just some of the great accents the British Isles has to offer.
First up was the London North Expo, which we tied in with already being in the capital for an awards ceremony where we were up for a national industry award – and which we won.
Next up took us to the opposite end of the country; Newcastle to be precise, where the North East Expo was held at the Newcastle Falcons’ Kingston Park Stadium.
Here our stand was probably the best placed we’ve had to date, not least because of the amount of footfall around it but because we were also conveniently placed opposite the stand of a casino, so naturally the Pebbletree members who attended this event had to have a spin of the roulette – it would have been rude not to, surely?
The mini-season of expos was rounded off with trips even further north to Glasgow first of all for the Scotland Expo at the impressive Hampden Park, then finally a journey to Wolverhampton for the Midlands Expo completing quite a road trip, albeit spread out over a period of weeks.
