Away from the day-to-day bustle of the noisy office, the Pebbletree team met up on a July afternoon for the annual team summer party for a day consisting of food, drink and fancy dress.
Held at the home of the company’s directors, Robert and Janni, the day was an opportunity for the team to let their hair down on the back of great news received during the working week – that the company had been awarded ‘Best VoIP’ provider at the 2014 ISPA awards, so it was very much a day of celebration.
Among the attendees clad in fancy dress were Darth Vader, Rambo, Fred Flinstone and his wife (in colourful wigs), Luke Skywalker and Guns ‘N’ Roses guitarist Slash.

As it was a family event the parents brought their children along, so plenty of mothers and fathers were kept occupied throughout the day with features such as the bouncy castle and giant water-filled balloons proving popular.
However, it wasn’t just the children taking advantage. At one point half of the team ended up on the bouncy castle at the same time and later on, one of the water-filled balloons was inevitably burst – not by a child, but by Liam from the Technical Support Team.

Activities throughout the day included a Jaffa Cake contest, whereby participants start with a Jaffa Cake placed on their forehead and the first to eat it – without using their hands or dropping it – is crowned winner, while the team also cast their vote on King and Queen of the party based on best fancy dress.

Trevor AKA Fred Flinstone, husband of the company’s Commercial Director Vicky, was crowned King of the party while Séan, from the sales team of the company’s Irish branch Goldfish.ie, and dressed as an extravagant version of an Irish gymnast complete with sleeve tattoos and a tutu, was delighted to be crowned Queen.
